Anesthesia and Surgery
When sedation, general anesthesia, or surgical treatment is required, our state-of-the-art facilities are available in our hospital. In order to prepare pets safely for surgery, we require running pre-anesthetic bloodwork prior to the procedure. We also perform a comprehensive physical examination on the morning of the procedure. Based on our findings as well as medical history, we tailor our anesthetic protocol to each patient. During surgery, patients are monitored with continuous electrocardiography (ECG), pulse oximetry, capnometry (end tidal CO2) and blood pressure measurements. During recovery, each patient is monitored and provided with appropriate pain management. After discharge, follow-up care continues as we work together to bring your pet through the healing process. |
